Which Calcium & Alk are you using?

falconut

I've had my reef for about 6 years now. Over the years I've used Kent Tech CB, Kent Turbo Calcium, Baking Soda, Preston Driveway Heat, Seachem Reef Advance Calcium, Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime and Kalkwasser.

I'm currently dripping Kalk daily (in a homemade reactor) and using Baking Soda (uncooked) and Seachem Reef Advance Calcium to raise levels. My reactor isn't clear, so I have to guess when it needs more kalk. Kind of a pain.

Just curious what others are currently using? If you don't mind, please list your tank size or total volume and what you use to maintain/adjust calcium and alk.

Thanks.

Kent turbo calcium, baked baking soda, and bulk mag chloride. I just use the reef calcultor and dissolve them in thier own 1 gallon jugs and use it like a 2 part.

Bulk Reef Supply 2-part ,,and i will never go back,,it is e-z,,cheap,,and a quality product. very happy with them and they ship fast to boot!

45 gallon tank used b-ionic and kent in the past but was going broke and always had to re-mix the crystals that settled from sitting on shelf at lfs

I use Mrs. Wages in a Kalk Reactor and have a dosing pump set up with a solution of Brightwell Magnesion. Tank is a 180 Gallon softy/LPS Reef with a few SPS. Parameters are 8-9 dKH alk, 420 Calcium, and 1400 Mag.

I've been using C-Balance from Two Little Fishies with moderate results. There was a big change in polyps opening up and coral color when I also added Tech M from Kent.
