which camera?

hi. i'm thinking of buying an action camera to shoot hd videos and still photos of the future dive trips. i've done some research but i still can't decide which one to choose from these:

1. gopro hero4 silver - around $400 (kind of expensive)
2. gopro hero3 white- around $200 (video/photo quality not good enough?)
3. xiaomi yi - around $100 (i like the price .youtube reviews look good. does anyone have experience with this?)

which one should i get? my plan is to play around with it and share the videos in youtube. thanks in advance.

Hi, I have the Hero 3+ Silver edition and love it. In my opinion it's great overall. Not too pricey but still great quality.
I highly recommend the one I have, it's great.
In my opinion if you get the hero4 silver , I would look into the new 4 session since it's the same price.
But yea I wouldn't go with the 3 white. It's good but the bump to the + and silver makes all the difference and the price is only $50-$100 more.

Not sure about the Xiaomi Yi, I just googled it, sounds promising from a website there but will still question many things unless someone with experience says otherwise.

One thing I love about the gopro is the durability. Mine has taken a few big hits and still works amazing. And all buttons work perfectly fine, with plenty of use.

thank you for the quick response. i think i'm gonna go with gopro since it's well known and there're many accessories available. i'll do more research on hero 3+ silver and hero 4 session. i like the hero 4 silver though. the only thing i don't like is the price
