Which corals?

I'm wondering which corals I can buy that in the near future I could frag and sell? I mean what do people want? What will sell? For how much? No SPS since I have PC lighting. And if you have anything in which I am speaking of let me know the price . Thanks!

high end chalices (flame thrower, pink boobies, bubble gum monster, mummy eye, etc)

nice zoas (purple hornets, purple deaths, nuclear greens, captain americas, candy apple reds, ppe, etc)

crazy candy looking acans, rainbows and such

be careful what you ask for, lol. a few of these frags will force you to get a second job.

hah i already have 2 jobs and need a third...obviously i want something small to start with that will be useful in the future

pc lighting wont give you good color. i would change. plus just enjoy the hobby and collect what you want. i hate seeing tanks with just frag plugs.

This is actually a great question. A lot of us wish we knew what was hot when we got into the hobby so that after a year or so, we would have lots of nice frags for sale that command top dollar. I completely agree with Ken aka sps1. The only thing I would add to his list is zoanthid colonies that have nice, different coloration because you never know what the next "hot" zoanthid/paly will be.

You also have to keep in mind that just because one coral is "HOT" right now, it doesnt mean it will be in 2 months.

For example, when I got my sunset montipora frag when I first started, I got it for $75. Now, i'd be lucky to get $30 for a decent size frag that I sell.

With what I've read about your xenia receeding and issue's with colts/kenya tree's I'd work on letting the tank establish itself over the next 6 months or so before throwing frags in there

Most of the high selling LPS and zoa's are the ones that grow slowly - so PC lighting really isn't the way to go.

well my xenias are back to life, i guess they just needed some iodine . my colt and kenya tree is doing real good too. im not really wanting to sell stuff, its just when it gets too big i want to sell it but i want stuff thats both nice and sellable.

If you are having issues with kenya's you might want to test your water.
