If this is for your 20g I wouldn't recommend any 7 inch fish let alone a tang.
I would recommend plenty of water changes, less feeding and adding a fuge. That will get rid of your HA.

I wouldn't expect it to. I had a Kole for almost a year and it would never touch the stuff. It only grazed on the rocks and ignored any HA. Good luck with it though.
I bought a emerald crab and a Mexican turbo snail and it ate all of my HA in about a week and before that i was filling a 16oz. cup at less once a week of the stuff...
Anyways i never heard of a kole eating HA... but goodluck!
thanks everybody, im probly going to get some snails, and more emerald crabs, not to sure about the fox face, i dont want him to kill my bicolor if it gets territorial with it.
ok, i just did a 20g water change and sucked some of it out, it just seems like the more i pull out the worse it gets. Anyway, im gunna try some type of algae eating fish. I deffinatly need more snails tho.
How about a sea hare? I think those are pretty good HA eaters. Just make sure that you have enough HA for them to survive or give them away/sell/trade them when the algae is gone.
I was thinking bout that but my lfs will onlygive me 25% of the resale. Its the only one that isnt realy far away. Unless somebody would be willing to take the sea hair from here when its all pau.
