Im looking for two.

Geo seems to be the favorite, so unless someone compells me to think otherwise that is the brand I am looking for.

Just curious as to what size of reactors I ideally want for a:

-240 sps tank

-500 gallon sps tank with 4- 70 gallon shallow sps frag tanks

TIA :)

Get as large as you can fit/afford for the 500. I'm just about to upgrade to the Geo 818 AND a Geo 618 on my 400 SPS....

I guess I should say money is no issue. i dont want to ever have to upgrade for either of these systems, nor do I want o have to run multiples.

Which models then?? Im just looking for experienced input on which models fit the bill.

If money is not an issue, go with the GEO1218 i think, its the biggest of them!

I have the GEO 818 in my reef tank now and i love it! Simple and easy setting! Once done, you dont have to adjust or anything! Perfect!

I'm trying to decide on a 818 or a 1218 for my 600 gallon tank with 300-400 more gallons, 40 of which is a frag grow-out. I'm not planing on sps overkill so I'm wondering if the 1218 would just be a waste of money for me.

I have been using the 818 for 3 weeks. I was also afraid that it would not be enough for my 420 main tank and 40g frag tank but up to now, its been very stable at 8-9dKH and 400 ppm Ca with minimum Co2.. (about 60 bubbles/min). For now, the 818 seem plenty for my tank.

for a 1000g tank, if you dont want to overkill, i think the 818 will be enough, but if you would change your mind and want lots of sps, i think the 1218 would be better for you
