which HOB protein skimmer should i get

Get a remora (if you are on a budget) if not then you can look into the tunze in tank or deltec mce300. I have never used the bakpack or prizm, but after researching an hob, I learned to stay away from those. Just my opinion though.

from my research the AquaC Remora and for a budget the coralife super skimmers which are sump or hang-on capable. I have not read much good about the Prizm or Bak-Pak models

I 'third' the aquaC remora. Its not much more, but works so much better. I have seen the prizm and it is pretty loud and doesn't seem to collect much. The Remora is very quiet (for a skimmer) and doesn't need to be adjusted much, if ever.

I use a Remora on my 40g. Great skimmer for small tanks. If you have a little more of a budget get a Deltec MRC300 or a Tunze DOC internal skimmer. )

That skimmer your looking at on ebay is a copy of a cpr but with a really cheap pump, I would get the remora it not get that skimmer and change the pump to a mj1200

If it were me I would just do it right the first time and get a Tunze DOC, you will be glad you did.

I use the aquamedic turbofolotor and I love it. It is very quiet and works very well. It is also a skimmer you can upgrade with as you move along in the hobby. You can use it in a sump later if you decide and can run on tanks as large as 220 gal.

I agree with andrewr. I ordered a tunze DOC 9010 from marinedepot.com. It's supposed to be delivered tomorow!!! :D
