Which is the right tank for me

I am very interested in buying a new corner aquarium with cabinet and hood. Its size is in inches 36 x 36 x 24. Can anyone advice me is this would be ok to have as a reef tank tank or will i have problems??

That would be a perfect size. Having it 36" deep, gives you adequate room to stack your rocks and still have plenty of
sandbed space at the front. If you can afford to get one that
is reef ready.

However if you want a reef tank you will more than likely have to have MH lights. A 36 inch deep tank is quite deep so it will take some significant light. As long as you are prepared for that and to spend the money to provide the right light I see no reason not to get it.

Usually, the third dimension is the "height" (sometimes called "depth")...so I'm going to assume the tank is 24" high and not 36". A 36x36 lxw is gonna be pushing it for a single MH light but it can be done. Alternatively, you could look at T5 lighting for it.

what sort of critters/corals do you plan on keeping? That would be a major factor to consider. that is a nice sized tank. as mentioned the lighting could get tricky but nothing tht can't be solved by making sure your corals are placed properly. You may also be limited to what sized fish would be comfortable but again with a bit of planning it should be fine

i forget the name of it, but isnt there a special type of reflector that is made for 3' spaces?
