Which MJs in a 10g with Wavemaker?

I have a 10 gallon tank right now. I want to upgrade the flow system. Right now I have 3 different random powerheads with horrible efficiency and with the summer coming the tank already heats up to 83 degrees right now with them.

If I add a wavemaker and have 2 powerheads that are MJs, which model #s would be good in the 10 gallon tank? Two 900s? Two 1200s? Remember only one is on at a time with the wavemaker I have...

If you are worried about heat stick with the 900's at 8.5 watts because the 1200 are 20 watts each. With the 900's you will only running 17 watts total.
Both will work fine on a wavemaker.
Put them in the back corners and point them to the opposite side.

Two 900's will be allot of flow. I have two 400's on a Wavemaster. The flow is pretty good. If you have a sand bed then the 900's will probably blow it all around. The 400's have mine lumped up in the middle and very little in the corners.

Any one else have any suggestions?

You only use 2 400s and only one of them is on at a time with the wavemaker right? That flow is good for your tank? Do you have any dead spots?

I think I am leaning toward the 600 or 900s now instead of the 1200s.

For my tank and inhabitants I think the flow is fine. I may have some dead spots along the back wall of my tank but it doesn't create a problem. I have my Wavemaster set up the alternating setting. So, when the Wavemaster goes into the most turbulant mode both my ph's are on at once. This really starts the water moving.
