Depends on how many modules or plugs you will need. The lite can only have up to 4 modules. The elite can have up to ?? alot. I just upgraded from the lite to elite because I ran out of room. The Elite is super easy to program as well. Worth the extra $60

I agree - I am running into the same problem with my apex right now - went with the cheaper the lite - and now that I am still growing in the hobby need what the full version has to offer and will cost me more now trying to buy add ons to reach that point.

I'm not familiar with the reefkeeper products but can tell you I'm very happy with my new Apex setup. Fusion makes programming a breeze.
