Which PH meter are you using?

Hi, I'm in the market for a new PH meter. I have an old hanna meter, but it is slowly dying. A new one is $35-40, is anyone using this and how do you like it?

None.. I never care about PH...
In general if you take care of everything else PH takes care of itself..

I think PH probes,etc... are a waste of money..

I use one for my calcium reactor, and one for the tank. Currently My PH is "low" 7.8 according to the old hanna meter, but my alk and cal are 9.2 and 400. Sooo I still feel the need to keep an eye on my PH. I've had the hanna for 6-7 years, and its not holding a calibration like it did when it was new. I'm just looking for opinions on if these hand held meters are worth $40, or should I buy the $100? Will the $100 meter really last a lifetime?

I have an American marine pinpoint meter but I only test my pH out of curiosity every 3 or 4 months.

Are you looking for a probe or a meter? If it is not holding calibration, that is a probe problem and most likely not a meter. Six-seven years is a very long time for a ph probe. Often they are known to go bad after a year or so, but if constantly submerged the life may be much longer.
