Which pump to run?

I am hopefully buying a used octopus rec. 110 skimmer, doesn't come with feed pump, what size should i run on it? anyone have one that could tell me what they run?

The pump doesn't need to be that large. I think octopus only recommends 1.5 X your tank volume/hr.

What you can do to save money and heat is plumb a "T" into your return pump and use a small valve to control the flow. This is what I've done in the past.

A small mag drive would also work. Make sure you use a valve so you can easily control the flow of the water.

I think my needle wheel 110 is running on a 700gph pump.
