Which Radium 20k se bulb

I'm in the process of making a suspended canopy for my 120 that's currently lite by a ATI 6 bulb. I have a dual PFO 400 watt ballast and a dual Blue Wave 250 watt HQI ballast. I'm not concerned about heat as I'm running a chiller already.

The reflectors I'm using I belive are Lumen Bright


2 48" VHOs are going to used as well.

Which way would you go and why?

250's are plenty for a 120 , 400 might be too much

I ran 400 before on a 150 2 of them and the corals were fine ... The 400 have a little more of a crisp blue and look better IMO but the 250 Are my second choice u eaAlly can't go wrong with either

If heat isn't a concern go with the 400W.

go with 400! word of caution, dont try to keep lps with no shade on top of it. it will bleach for sure

My initial thought has been to go with the 400s for a year and then switch to the 250s

400w radiums for sure. You're going to deal with heat with either 250w or 400w, you might as well have the best lighting for your effort.

I run 2 400w and 4 t5s on a 120.

Trust me, do it!
