Which rapid led diy kit for frag tank?

I have a (17" x 17" x 10" high) area in my sump and instead of a fuge I wanted to make it a frag tank.

Rapid LED has a 12 and 24 led kit (5 watt each). Which one would be better for my size tank?

What are you trying to grow in there?

I want to be able to grow pretty much anything, mainly znp's and sps.

Had no issue with a 12 LED set-up in a 18x18 for SPS. SPS needed to be near the middle to top tho. And the set-up was dimmed about 60% Blue / 40-45% White.

Not sure if that helps too much.

That helps a lot knd, thanks. How far was the light from the water surface and how low from the water surface did you have the corals?
