Which Reef Brite for Shimmer and Pop ??

Looking to add a single Reef Brite LED for some shimmer and pop, should I go with the 50/50 or Blue ?

Current lighting is Tek T5

more blue will give u more pop. but for growth u need whites. 50/50 is probably ur best bet.

I get great color and growth from my T5's, but definitely need the shimmer

I have 2 strips of all blues and I don't notice any shimmer when the T5s are one. But plenty of pop though.

I have a xho 50\50 in front of my 6 bulb t-5 setup. Nice shimmer. Behind my t-5s you can not see the shimmer. if you want to see shimmer from behind your t-5s you would need an all white xho. I really like my 50\50. I may be getting a all white for the back..

I have one each blue and white of the gen 1 reefbrites (don't know how much they have changed). I have an 8 bulb tek elite. With only 4 T5 bulbs on I can get some shimmer from the white one. With 8 bulbs I see no shimmer at all.

There's a reason why you don't see many t5-led fixtures out there... Pointless imho. You'd need a bunch of led and minimal t5 to see shimmer and supplementing led with t5 doesn't sound right to me. Lol
