which return pump?

howdy all,
i need a return pump for my tank im setting up and really dont want any powerheads in the tank...the tank is a 60g cube, 24x24x24 center overflow box, 1 1/2" drain and 3/4" return. the over flow box has 2 x 3/4" return outlets drilled in it. i was looking at the mag drive 18 but it seems to cheap to be good for anything, what would you guys use? and is 1800gph at 0 feet to low of a gph? thx in advance

Interesting setup; I've always like the Magdrive pumps and there dependability.
I would add a second pump in the sump to a timer and the second return line and true union ball valve just to change up the circulation.
It can be quite tricky and a closed loop would have been a better way to set this up.

IMO external pumps are preferable to submersable mainly for heat reasons(Mags especially give out a lot of heat). Iwaki and Pan World are two good brands. With a closed loop in addition to a return it will be easier/more efficient to get the flow you desire IMO.
