Which Salt

Haven't bought salt in ages. What is the best brand these days. I used to use Reef Crystals.

Fritz rpm pro. Mixed clean parameters are perfect. Rc leaves way to much brown crud.

It doesn't matter. Pick one and test the new water after mixing. Adjust parameters as needed. If you buy in bulk make sure you test each bag you open.

I didn't realize the brand of salt mattered. Is there a big range in quality between brands?

I use Red Sea coral pro. The nice thing is that I mixes clear in about 15 minutes. It is a little more expensive but has high calcium and alkalinity from the jump.

I use Red Sea Coral Pro Salt....And I love it and my tank loves it! Been using it for almost 4 years.....

I use Red Sea Coral Pro as well. Have for years now. To me it mixes cleaner than IO or RC and I can get to a true Salinty of 35.0 ppt. But lately I have been looking at possibly trying 2 other brands. Problem is no LFS in the area carry it so I would need to special order from BRS or someone else.

I use aquaforest reef Salt and every so often use there probiotic stuff. It mixes in minutes and clear. Low alk and Amazon prime drops it off at my door!
