which skimmer both nice!

ok i have to get either a HOB or intank skimmer for my rimless 45 gal cube. Its 40 gal of water. i have 50lbs liver rock and doubt ill add more. also has 40lbs live sand.

stock list (work in progress)

3 chromis small
2 small snowflake clowns
1 firefish
1 small dwarf angel of some kind
1 six line
maybe something else. but im into coral the wife into fish. and we are patinet and will take it slow.

i dont over feed. i do feed frozen when i can. maybe twice a week, other then that prime reef flake 2 or 3 times a day. small amounts.

I dont know about HOB with my marineland rimless. makes me nervous. like its going to rip apart the tank. also im thinking about making a over flow to hide the skimmer and heater in. also the ato. But if the octopus is a lot better then ill get it. im just not convinced on the in take. my hydro i had was a joke.

Do you have a sump? Or are you planning one?

no sump and wont have one with this setup. might just build a AIO kinda thing where i can hide the heater and skimmer if needed.

Gotcha. I use reef octopus but mine is in sump. As far as quality of it though im happy.
