Haven't been to many stores yet. A lot of changed or moved so where is the best place for fish
Which store for fish?

seascapes, they have tanks running copper. Plus you can have them hold your fish for 14 days.
Not gonna say its 100% Ich free but by far the best treatment iv seen. Other fish stores you can CLEARLY see ich on all the fish.

Every fish I have purchased came from the corner reef. Haven't had a single issue and no deaths.

Truth... I've bought from everywhere had success many places and setbacks at all of them too. My suggestion is to buy used fish. Buy fish that have been sold back to the store or buy from other members here. Imo The fish I have purchased "used" have had a much higher success rate vs "new".

I think you can get fish from anywhere just make sure you have a QT ready!

This is 100% true. Just some (which are very obvious) have systems in place to cure/prevent disease. Starting with a fish thats been in copper for 14 days is an awesome start

Copper isn't the end all be all for disease prevention. For some species, such as tangs, extended exposure to prophylactic copper can sometimes do more harm than good, causing internal organ damage that may not show up for weeks after it's out of the copper system. I've had way better luck with fish from healthy full reef systems or self quarantined directly from the wholesaler, than I ever have with long term copper treated fish.

all of this is true. Why i still go to certain stores. I haven't been lucky enough to buy direct from the wholesalers.
Chloroquine Phosphate is what i have always used and professionals. Unfortunately you have to get a vet prescription in the US.

Talk to the store owners/managers. Some will order fish for you and let you pick up on delivery day before the bags are opened, provided you can get there before the fish have been sitting in the bags too long.
