Which supplements do you recommend to use with a dosing pump?

Please mention which supplements you use, your tank's size, how heavily stocked your tank is whether SPS or LPS, and if you can, post a picture.


I just wanna know how much I would spend on supplements for my project monthly. I'm planning to setup a 32g and use a jebao dosing pump.

On a 32g system.. even heavily stocked if you are spending more than $0.50 USD on "supplements" (and by that I mean alk/cal/mag solution) then you are doing something wrong or buying the expensive stuff..

You can by sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and calcium chloride in bulk (something like $10-15 a gallon of it) then mix with water and have enough to last you YEARS..

And so its clear.. Many times water changes are all you need to keep levels stable and you may never need to dose anything..
I wouldn't buy the dosing pump right away.. I'd wait till you need it.. which could be months/years later depending on stocking levels and water change frequency..
