Which Tang with a Lawnmower blenny? Kole or Yellow

Just got a lawnmower blenny, going to get a tang here in a couple months. I have read that Kole tangs may not get along with LMB, is this true based on personal experience? The Kole or whichever tang will be going in last. If not a Kole probably a Yellow tang.

It's not a matter of getting along with one tang over another. It's the fact that both lawnmower blennies and tangs compete for a similar resource: algae. They might be able to share it. They might not be willing to share. It depends on the individuals.

I like the part about "might" :)

I have a lawnmower with a Lt. Tang. They get along great and more or less leave each other alone. The LMB doesn't eat the Nori I feed on the clip however the tang destroys it. I had a post earlier about it eating 2 sheets a day... My blenny eats the other fishes food along with the stuff it scrapes off the rocks and back wall of the tank.

I don't see myself adding another tang so take this for what it is worth.

I've read more horror stories about Ctenochaetus (kole, tomini, etc) tangs and blennies than other tang varieties...if that helps..

if it's a choice between the two i'd go yellow (actually i'd rather not have a tang than have a yellow tang, but that's a different matter)

when i had my LMB he did great with my yellow tang, but my kole tang chase that poor little blenny any time he saw him out.

I have:

1 XXXL sailfin tang
1 XL blonde naso tang
1 Blue tang
1 Yellow tang
1 Purple tang
1 Vlamingii tang
1 Mimic tang
1 Kole tang

All of them with a Lawnmover living together like 5 years without any problems...
