which tank to get for horses?

Yep, that was the issue for us, but if you dont mind your fixture hanging over the sides then that wont be an issue for you ;)
 
the 28g hex does look nice and its good that i know its not to hard to get inside it to work with just that top hole. but im not sure if i should just get something like Mr. Aqua 25g cube and drill it, it would be alot cheaper and it would be more open..

I like that Mr. Aqua tank... I havent seen one in person before, but it looks pretty, could be made to look really nice and would be really easy to work in. That would have my vote :)
 
Yea that square with no top would be easy to work with, I have never seen one though so I don't know about quality.
 
well i found this glass hex pretty cheap locally. i think its around 29g and its 18" from flat to flat and 25" tall. I want to drill it for an overflow and return. do you think drilling it for an overflow box would be better? i kind of like the drilling since it looks cleaner
