Which test kits do you prefer?

I am replacing more test kits. I am hoping to get some input from you guys. I am going for Calcium, Alkalinity (to double check my Hanna), Magnesium, and maybe Ph or is it better to use calibration solutions periodically to check my probes. If anyone has suggestions to a kit that would be great. I would like to buy the kits from gateway tomorrow.

I really like Red Sea. I think the alk and Ca tests are quick and very easy to read.

When I first started I used API because they were cheap but noticed that they were not reliable lot to lot.

Salifert for calcium magnesium .

Lamotte for alkalinity and low range nitrate.

Hanna for phosphate

I figured out that API is an acronym for "Are Particularly Accurate". That's what I am replacing.

Salifert is fine for nitrate if it's zero or close to, but tough for discerning 5 versus 10 or 15 or 20

It's personal preference really too. Just avoid the cheapie and your golden

I was using the Lamotte kit for Carbonate hardness with good results. A few months back I switched to the Hanna checker after testing it out and getting consitent readings from it. I will be ordering the Hanna ultra low phos soon as the Red Sea is extremely hard to read.
Salifert for mag/calcium and Redsea for nitrate, but I cant compare these as they are the only ones I have tried so far.
