Which Tunze Controllable Powerheads to buy?

I have a 72 Gal Bowfront and would Like to add
2 tunze controllable powerheads to it.

Which are the ones to get?

Hello Harry, if your tank is Bare bottom and it is SPS dominate, i would suggest 2 tunze 6101 but if you have a sandbed. Tunze nano Stream 6055 will be a better choice.

I do have a sandbed, and the tank is a mix, thiogh no SPS so the
Tunze nano Stream 6055 is proabably the choice

Now I just need to make sure it can be controlled
via my ProfiLux controller.

Hi Harry,
You will find two 6055 units will be adequate. You do have to option to have additional pumps down the track if you feel they are needed.

The 6055's can be controlled no problem with your GHL Profilux Controller. You will need to get the GHL Tunze controll cables to connect your pumps to the GHL unit. The parts are Tunze1 cable and Tunze 2 cable as well as the YAL1-2 Splitter cable.

I have two 6055s in my SPS w/ substrate 55gal, and supplement them with two 850gph stream-style powerheads. The two 6055s alone would not be enough flow for my tank, particularly when set up to alternate flow.

I've got a 6100 on the way to replace the non-controllable stream-style pumps. The two 6055s will go on one end of the tank and the 6100 on the other.

IMO, two 6055s will probably not be enough for your tank.

In a specialised SPS tank , yes. I would go for 6101's.

Harry_Fish did mention its a mixed coral, though no SPS so the 6055's would be adequate but it will vary on what species are included in the tank.

Either models will work and either can be controlled via the GHL Profilux.

I think they should be plenty for what I need.
