so i just pulled out a huge bristle worm from my tank (more than 2 feet long) ....
eventough i suspect this one hitchiking with some polyps i got last week...i need to keep my bristle worm pupulation under control...
so i want something that'll keep the population in check...
i was thinking about a wrasse but not sure which exact one...

you can see the tank info on my sig...any suggestions?

also the inverts include..2 cleaner shrimp, hermit crabs, and an anemone

any wrasse you could get that would eat a 2 foot bristle would eat shrimp too. if you are worried, get or make a worm trap. bear in mind, people overreact about these- many are good and helpful.

I have a Red Coris Wrasse that eats bristle worms like crazy, he actually flips over the smaller rock over to find the worms and eat them. My 240gal reef(softies) with 3 cleaner shrimps is almost cleared of bristleworms, it always made me wonder till one weekend I watched the tank and saw the coris wrasse flip over smaller rocks and eat the bristleworms he found. He hasn't put a dent in my hermit or snail population but it just might be my coris is not destructive, I have had him for a year and he has been a model citizen and he looks awesome. I heard that psuedocheilinus wrasses will eat bristleworms(sixlines, mystery,...) but unless your tank is writhing with bristleworms I wouldn't care they make great scavengers, their like roaches if you don't give them enough to eat in the tank they'll go away unless their gigantic then they might eat some of your livestock. I didn't buy the coris to eat bristleworms I just let them be and I haven't had anything go wrong so far and I have 9 clams in one tank.
