White bubbles in tank? (Urgent)

I just opened my tank from a 6-day blackout to help contain a vicious case of algae, and when I opened my tank I saw these white bubbles on some corals and snail shells. Any idea what this is? Is it dangerous if I move it without gloves?

It isn't my phone, so the images will not be great, but I'll try and get some close ups for better analysis.

In this picture, the white bubble thing encased one of the heads of my hammer coral. Top-down, I would measure it to be about 1 done in size, and approx. 1 cm tall.

Here's the monticap that has been smothered. I don't think it's completely dead yet, since there's still some color in it. If you look closely, around the mid-left side of the page, there are some bubbles, which leads me to think it is the same as the other bubble things.
