Hi everyone,
I just woke up this morning to notice a look of white fuzz covering my small frag of Zoas. I've had this frag for about 3 months and it has done really well with the exception of some recent hiccups. I recently had a huge red slime outbreak and tried just about everything to get it under control, and finally i took the plunge and used red slime remover. The chemicals killed all of the red slime, but the algea that was covering a portion of my zoa frag has been replaced by this white fungus.
As far as tank measurements, everything has been pretty normal but obviously the addition of the red slime remover could have been a significant shock to the system.
Has anyone had this issue, know what this is and know what my next steps should be to properly take care of this issue? Obviously my biggest concern here is the "fuzz" spreading to other nearby corals such as my colony of pipe organ corals.
Thanks for the help.
