white lightining sponge are they good for begginers?

I want a white lightining sponge. I have a oceanic biocube 29 gallon. Can I get a white lightining sponge? are they reef compatable? how big do they get?:hmm2:

If it is the one I am thinking about, red & white with white polyps, it is very difficult and I would not attempt it.

Many - if not the majority - of non-photosynthetic invertebrates are not good for beginners (sponges, NPS gorgonians, sea pens, crinoids, tunicates, etc.), if suited for a closed system at all.

Start with some easy fish and some soft corals until you are comfortable with running a closed system.

It's great that you are excited, and my compliments for asking questions before buying.
