Hard to say for sure, but looks like ich or brook. edit: could also be sand?

Also looks like he's not getting enough to eat.

How big of a tank is he in? How long have you had him? How old is your tank? Did you QT him before putting him into your main tank?

The picture is a little unclear, Mandarins have a high tolerance to ICH, this doesn't mean they cant get it, just harder for them to carry it.

Mandarins to get white specs on them from the sandbed they cruise around, is it possible this is what you are seeing? To hard to tell from your pictures.

60gallon, i had her for 5 months, i started the LR in a 30 gallon may last year, but was moved to the 60 gallon in september last year.
i didnt QT her.

she eat frosen brine shrimp and pods al day, i have a scrubber that make extra pods.

it isint ich, its not spots, locks more like pale patches.

i added i powder blue tang to the tank last month, that i lost a week ago to ich, im very shure it isint ich the mandarin have.

Any/all fish that were in the same tank as the tang could have ich. It could be stress from having ich that has your mandarin spotting like it is. Ich can be in the gills, and often starts there. You don't need to see tiny white bumps for a fish to have ich.

Just a thought. :/

i found the mandarin dead to day, i think it was velvet, my other fish is iching so tomoro i gonna buy seahem coupemine and treat the other fish, i have 9 chromis and a yellow and purple wrasse, i have to take out al the rock to catch them.
