white poly filter

I use them in my nano tank. It works as advertised. I cut a 3x4 peice that fits the drip tray perfectly. This is my main filtration other than a bag of chemipure and of course live rock. I have to replace it once a week, longer than that it gets too dirty. For anything other than a nano, it could be expensive. I normally pay around almost $30 for a 12x12 pad.

I swear by poly filters. I rinse mine out once a week and use them a good couple of months in my 30 gallon.

has anyone ever used them and what can you witty RC people tell me about them?

Poly filters are the only type of sponge media I will put in my tank.

Do I have to remove them if I supplement?

I dont and havent seen any ill effects from it

I have been using poly filters close to 20 years in all my reefs. They are for chemical filtration and not mechanical. They remove meds, pollutants, metals, copper etc. If I were to describe them they are a cross between carbon and seachem purigen and cupisorb.
