Currently I'm doing my tank cycle for about a month and realized this white powder stuff start growing. Is this a threat to my tank as I'm going to put my fish inside my main tank soon. mcgyvr New member Jul 9, 2018 #2 Can't really see it in detail but I'd bet its just sponge growth which is harmless/beneficial.. Very little is actually a "threat" in this hobby.. Don't worry.. Have fun..
