White sides? What is wrong? TY

The smaller black one looks like the lfs version of the Kellogi. If so, they are actually pen raised and live pretty good for about 2 to 3 months. Then like lightning, they start to form discolorations spots and do a crazy wiggle and swim off. They continue to eat and then just crash over night. One I had purchased did great for 2 months, fed them and actually watched him eat about 5 mysis and 1 hour later was dead. I was going the cheap SH route and getting them for 20 to 30 bucks. Now I get the captive breed from local people and mine are doing great. I have Erectus and hope to have some fry in the next few weeks. Good luck

Yeah, I paid around $60 ea. for these guys at a local FS. So I am sure he only paid around $20 most likely.

I plan on going to talk with this guy when I get a chance. He is supposably the best around my area.. About an hour from me..

James, maybe his are CB. The ones I USE to get around here in CA. The cost is 20 bucks from the petshop. If you find some breeders off Seahorse.org or here, jump at it. I did not really like the Erectus at first but they are extreamly fun to watch and pretty quick at feeding time. I only have 2 and they each a cube each of the frozen mysis each day. Have a good one.
