White slime coming off my BTA

Hey guys,
I've had my BTA for a couple of days now and the first few it looked great, nice and healthy, no problems at all. But today he seems to have this white stringy slim coming from him (Pic included) and has retreated from his normal position in the tank to the very bottom.
Is this normal behaviour? Is my BTA infected?
Thanks for any help

Leave him and see. Is this a fairly new anemone? I had a BTA that looked like that before it kicked the bucket. I waited to make sure it was dead (released its foot from its rock and started floating around), checked when I took it out by smelling it (they smell like death), and tossed him. I observed him for a good week or so before he got to that state though. Yours could still recover, just keep an eye on it and don't feed it right now.

No doubt a part of it is dying. Did it split recently? Looks like it is in the middle of a split and one of the clones died. It is definitely is bad shape, and if the other half looks like the 'stringy' half then definitely pull it from your tank otherwise it will pollute the water.
