White stuff on my zoos

Ok I look at the post on thw white spost not sure if this it what I have. Look like white to yellowish. Not dots just between the polyps any ideas?

If it is growing between the polyps, and not on them, it could be a type of sponge, which is very common and shouldn't hurt them. If the polyps seem irritated or are deteriorating, then its not likely a sponge.

As Reef Junke stated, A picture would be best to give you positive ID and help solve it if its a problem.

I know I have had sponges that will overtake and kill palys... I also have other types of sponges growing that aren't problem.... The stuff that's the problem is like a real dark blue/ almost black looking sponge...

It is a yellow, tan color

The reddish dark brown is not a sponge its probally a type of encrusting alga.
Do a google on encrusting alga or leaf alga and see if any pictures match.
Most sponges are either white or orangish/yellow color.

Does it look and feel solid or slimy?
