Anyone have an idea what's irritating my zoa?

Thanks for the reply 650. I haven't tried a dip because the coral has grown and attached itself to three different pieces of rock.

Would I rip part of the coral off if I tried to remove with tweezers? Should it remove easily if it's a sponge? Thank you!

I've had a couple different sponges grow in between corals before, not the same as your in your picture, but you can use tweezers to gently rip them off.

Hi Fragbox

I'm not sure what you mean by melt? The opened part of the zoa will close if touched. The portion with the white stuff stays closed.. Even if touched. I tried to pick the white off with tweezers and it was very difficult as it came off in very small pieces.. And was very tough to get in between the closed zoa heads

This seemed to had formed pretty quickly. Just noticed one morning that part of the coral looked very unhappy with the white stuff in it. Doesn't seemed to have spread any more over the last week of so which I guess is good..

Also got some random pineapple sponges around the same time in some other corals.

I wish It wasn't attached to so much rock or I would dip it in coral rx

Thanks for your reply
