White substance on Zoo's Help

Ihave a fairly large colony of zoo's that have began to develop a white fungus looking growth over some of them. I have brused it off and some polyps dead. I cleaned it all off and placed back in tank and within a couple of days it returned to claim some more polyps. by the way when i removed the white material i brushed it off in fresh water and also used an x-acto knife. any suggestions? should i lugols dip them use an antibiotic or just frag that portion off?
Any help would be appreciated

If it's a growth that spreads, it's not pox I don't think. Sounds like BI or fungus. Cutting it away is find, but you also have to take steps to eradicate it with something topical or a solution. Check the thread at the top of the page for some possible treatments. In the future, your best hopes for saving them is to act on the first or second day. Good luck.
