Looking at my clown trigger I noticed that one of his eyes is fogged over and in the middle their is a white strand coming out about 1mm long.
What is it and how do I treat it?
Water quality is good he is in a 150gl and I do 20gl water changes a week and his apatite is still monstrous.
Thanks,
Carson

Could the white strand be a tear in the cornea (if fish have them)? Otherwise, fungus comes to mind, to explain the strand. I usually associate cloudy eye with bacterial infection, but not sure how to interpret this based on your description. Is there any way you could take a picture?

How is your water quality? I know you say it's good, but what are your nitrates like?

Hard to tell from your sig which tank he is in. :) Is the fish likely to have injured one eye? Any aggressive interactions with tankmates, rubbing on rocks, other chances for injury?

Once you get a better idea of what it is, you might consider feeding frozen food with appropriate anti-fungal, anti-parasite or anti-bacterial medication added.

he is the most aggressive fish in the tank the nitrates are like at 10-20 I really need to get a skimmer but I'm not sure who makes one that size that can hang off the back because their is no room on the floor.
tanksmates include
guinea fowl puffer
niger trigger
orange toadfish
jeweled moray
Hawaiian stonefish
he is the smallest but usually holds his own and I've never seen any aggression out of any of them.
