White things need your help

Hello all , I been seeing white things that look like white rice attached to my glass in my sump and over flow area do you know what this is . Also they are not in my dp tank only sump and over flow and if you know what they ,are they okay to be there thanks .

yep they grow in my sump/fuge but never in the DT ive been told harmless little filter feeders
