White threads and not transparent water

UV can be benefical for tanks.

But I would not use it for initial tank start.
It can keep also benefical bacteria in check allowing pest stuff like yours without competition for PO4 leaching from rocks.
I am not an expert, but I would stop UV, add 1 more dose of some bacteria and start adding vodka (with like 0.1ml on 100l dose per day from start) to not dose more than your actual bacterial population can use.

On the other hand UV can be reason why Ich parasites density is still in fish tolerancy levels. If u stop it, there is possibility that Ich will manifest itself.

That question about cured rock was simple - did you "cook" it or some1? Or it just arrived from import ? ("cook" does not mean high temperature here)

Another question - what watts have your UV and what flow is in it?

I am afraid than if a stop UV I will have bigger problem. I bought dead rock and I don't how it became dead.

I don't exactly remeber what watts have my UV but probably 36W. Flow - about 400 l/h.

my tank does this from time to time.it just finished doing this last week.my tank has been running for many years and I would like to find the problem myself.in my opinion its bacteria of some sort.im going to buy a better pump for the return and hope for the best.theres got to be a way to end this.

Yes if u overdosed with bacteria and food for them - then u can have more problems after turning off UV.

Questions were about live rock you added, but if u dont know what cured means or "cook rock" than you cant answer the question.

This mucus substance is typically secretion by unhappy animals (In my experience at least ...)

Can you pinpoint 'precisely' where the mucus is coming from .. is it some sort of a tube worm(s) trying to feed?
