White worm on Zoa frag

Hey guys!

Okay so I noticed this morning that my zoa frag was not opening up all the way like it usually does. I watched it for a little and did not see any pests or fish bothering it. Then about 30 minutes about I saw a white worm with black/brown stripes on its body. I went to grab my camera for a picture but the worm had gone back into the zoa (i believe it is in there). Since i could not snap a picture, I placed it into a 2.5 gal qt tank. Any idea on what I should do here guys or any idea about what it is that is on/in my zoa frag?

Here are some tank parameters,
20 gallon high
Temp: 78 F
Salinity: 1.024
pH: 8.2
Frag
No recent changes in the aquarium
I have 2 Koralina nano 425
Adding PurpleUp 2 times a week (half a cap)

I have no idea. There's a ribbon worm that has stripes going down the body, but I don't know what it eats.
Maybe it just lives in the rock, or is it actually in the zoa?

Worms can make zoas to close temporarily but shouldn't be an issue.
Some species of amphipods could do that too without any damage, again, temporarily.

Keep checking and see if they are actually being eaten by the worm.

I've heard that some fire worms could eat zoos, but never heard about fire worms with black/brown stripes...
The worms I've seen with black/brown stripes have also yellow/beige stripes, like rings, with a round type of body, and they are harmless.

Good luck!!!

Grandis.

I have noticed theses worms on my zoas as well. Although I don't know what they are, I haven't noticed any ill effects from them thus far...I probably first noticed them 6 months ago.
