Alright, I need some help. While on vacation, my brother decided my tank needed some color and bought my son a yellow tang after repeated times of telling him no. I have a clown and a royal gramma in the tank currently. On the top fin of the tang it seems as if there is a film of some sort on it that is reddish/ white. He is scratching, there is no white dots anywhere on his body and he is eating well. Now, showing on the royal gramma, it seems white splotches are starting to pop up. I do not have a quarantine tank set up as I just got the main tank set up after moving into our home and had no intention of adding any new fish to the system for a while. There is no coral in the system just the live rock/sand. What is the best course of action? Try to throw together a make shift quarantine tank? How do I begin to treat this? Im not even sure what this is.
