Who ate my shrimp?

So a few Aptasia, and my SPS get a little ****y when I add AptasiaX. Since I have no inverts, I decide to pick up 4 peppermint shrimp for $16. A few minutes after. Drop them in, I see 3 hanging out together on the bottom, back wall. My dwarf flame seems curious. A few min later, I go check and only see 2. 10'min later, one guy is hanging out alone. 5 more min, and I can't find any of them. I assume someone had a $16 dinner. Who?
Kole Tang and One-Spot Foxface are herbivores. Bartletts Anthias, Flasher Wrasse and blue-green chromis seem too small. That leaves my 2 pajama cardinalfish (which seem to just float around looking stoned most of the time) or the dwarf flame. Could the flame really handle eating 4 shrimp?!? They were small, sure, but still!
So today I'm back to using AptasiaX on the 2 I can see (which means there are a few more I can't)

They're excellent hiders. Look for them at night or right after feeding them. Also, look to see if the Aptasia is disappearing.

i have 1 peppermint shrimp and i only see him when i feed, or at night. I was worried at first as well but my LFS dude said they come out at night. Try shooting some food around the rocks see if he comes out to get some. Mine grabs some and goes back to his hiding spot, he is doing a great job eating my aptasia.

Wrasses will eat ornamental shrimp.

I don't think flasher wrasses will, but other species of wrasse do. My bet would be on the cardinal fish.

Yes, you can have a bunch and only see a few at a time mostly at night

I added 3 of them a few months back and they go missing for a few weeks at a time.

My hinge beaks are awesome at hiding. I thought 1 had died/been eaten but turned out to be just a molt. Saw two in there tonight hiding in a rock cave.
