Who delivers NSW ?

I'm sure a few of you have NSW delivered, or know who supplies the LFS in the area.

Does anyone know of a reputable company, and what thier collection practices are? Pricing, minimum quantity?

Chris at Hi-Tide delivers NSW. Not sure his price list but he brought me 200 gallons for $75. I'll PM you his number.

I believe Robert at Eco-Reef off Atlantic and the intercoastal delivers. I imagine it'll be a similar price and similar quantity.

V.I.P. is expensive unless you have a hook up with them. There normal rates are $1.25 per gallon delivered.

They charge 95.00 for the first 200 gallons. They have been around for a long time. The also take care of the majority of the lfs in dade and broward. You pay for what you get.

Actually I've spoken to people who use VIP and the rates are a lot lower than what was quoted above.
It would be closer to .30 per gallon to fill a 300g storage tank, and they got great reviews for customer service which is a big plus.
(If VIP is reading this, pm me, I have some questions for you.)

I've heard from several people/companies about price, but the one thing I haven't heard from anyone is about collection practices...
If the companies delivering NSW are just driving down to the intercoastal and dropping a hose in the water then I could buy another $200 tank for the back of my truck and do it myself for no more than my time and the gas and get the same quality runoff as anyone else.
Does anyone sterilize the water before delivering it, or do they all just roll the dice and end up with whatever bacteria, algae, or undesirable larvae that happen to be swimming by at the time???

I'd really like to know.

I believe the water is collected at the inlet during the incoming tide just like you describe.
