I used to have one on my 120gal got rid of it because I'm lazy and got tired of trying to tune it in so I ended up getting a H&S A200 3xF2001 for the 120 and a BM250 for my 240gal. They were both pretty much plug and play no fiddling with it every day.

I have the CSS220 on my 90. I like it alot. My only complaint would be that it will sometimes act up when I feed the tank, so I have to adjust the flow momentarily.

Buddy of mine has one on his 90G. According to him, the pump that drives the 220 is the same as the 120 model (i.e. it should have been upgraded).

He claims that like my 65G model, the performance is dreadfully inconsistant and he's planning on changing it soon.

I used to have one on a 175g and it was not good at all so i switched to euro reef, It was very inconsistent. What size tank are you planning for it?

i found that i had to clean it ALOT!!! to keep the skimmer running great (cleaned everything except for the main body, the main thing was the venturi) also if you dont do some mods to the bubble box you will get alot of microbubbles in your tank.

i have one on a 55, it skims it well although it is sometimes inconsistant like others have said. Im not sure if this is just cause theres not enough in the tank to pull out or what.
If i had known about the octopus skimmers before buying this i would have gotten one of them to start with. I suggest you check them out before you go out and get a css220, although mine has served me well on my 55gal (around 70gal total volume).

ya it will prob get some of the job done that u want, but i would get the best first(if you can afford it) it willl be MUCH better for the present and furture. as u can tell a lot of people have alreayd chimed in saying that it was not what they wanted so they bought a new one. for the price of two skimmers u can get other stuff for ur tank. i would suggest an octopus, asm, euro reef, tunze but if u really wanna step up and pay some money theires obviously those deltec, H&S, BK, etc
