i have used kick-ich for 2weeks as said to and then still saw my tang twitching. i moved my blue tang to QT for cupramine treating for a week and everything has stopped but heavy breeding and believe he is ok now i have readded him to the display but i would like to know if kick-ich has worked for anyone because it seemed to remove the spots but the tang still twitched however that was in my 36 and its a juvie. now i moved it into my 90 gallon and hope 2 see it all well 2moro moring. any input?

i got results when...

doubled the treatment dosage
put garlic in the food
selcon, lots of feeding and varied diet
and then did a second dose

so who knows what really did it

this was in a 30g with 3 sm tangs (shhhh). I was ich free until i ordered a powder blue tang from phishybusiness that was COVERED in ich. They claim it had none when it shipped (bs, no way it can do that overnight). The lfs was closed so I was limited in options and introduced him to the tank (not a good idea). Then I did the above.

would i do it again? nah, i'd trap the fish in a fish bag and QT them... at least the worst ones that can't fight as well.

Not good results for me. I lost some fish and ended up removing the survivors and going through hypo and leaving the DT fallow.

I tired it a few times and it seemed to work. I used the heavy dosing schedule and shut off the UV and removed all carbon and phosphate removers. The spots went away and didn't come back. Did it really work, who knows?

Recently, I bought a tiny blue tang. Off course it came down with ich, so did all my other fish. I tried the kickich and the fish continued to get worse. Rather than leaving them to their fate, I removed all the LR, caught the fish, and bought a q-tank.

After 5 weeks in hypo, all the fish came through very well. For all the money I spent on kick-ich, I could have easily paid for the q-tank setup - which I wound up purchasing anyway.

So, i guess that my kick-ich experience is mixed.

I used it once when I added my PBT, after a while the spots cleared up and all was well. I assumed it was the treatment, could have just been the fish beating it off.

The second time I used it, nearly a month straight, it did not work at all, killed all of my crabs and shrimp (I assume that is what did it).

I think what really happened was - the treatment may or may not have helped the PBT the first time but the ICH was still in the tank just not showing up on the fish. This is why my QT did not help on the second go round.

I guess my kick ich experience is also mixed.

I did the hypo on what I could catch (ones showing signs of ICH) and they cleared up.

I now have a large display that likely has ICH with fish showing no signs and 2 tangs healed up in a QT with no place to put them.
