Got a smallish doe. Saw a buck in the brush at about 100y...hoping to see it a little more clearly tomorrow.

Too windy. Had a wounded doe come up to thirty yds didnt have a clear shot though. Too bad. Tomorrow should be nice.

Shot a good sized spike today. First ever with a gun. 60 yds. with a 30/30 open sights.

Congrats to those who got one this past weekend!

I hunted hard Saturday and 'til noon on Sunday...saw lots of doe's and one 4 pntr who ran the gauntlet I call our 20 acres and bedded dwn safely. It chose the right woods lol.

Still holding out, but with 5 "large" bucks taken in about a sq. mile, I'm starting to think that the chances are not so good. I'm not giving up cuz we all know that deer can be pushed cross lots all the time.

Nxt hunt is Thanksgiving a.m....good luck all!!!

Already had one self inflicted GSW (gun shot wound) and one fatality on opening day. I'll be in the woods sparingly over the next few weeks, but I will be out there. Bow, no smoke pole.

I'd say half the time I'm bow hunting, I sit on the ground.

99% of the time I gun hunt, I'm in a stand!!!

Hey man, Congrats!!! I'd take it for sure. I've only seen 3 bucks this year for a grand total of 7 points. 2 Spikes and a 3pt. I refuse to lose though. I'll be out there til I get one.

Thx for congrats....he was on a doe and they both came in upwind of me. Was "thankful" for the oddball easterly wind.
