Who is using/has T-5 Lighting? (TEK) Fixture

Just depends where you want to put your corals. That extra half a feet on each side of the light might be kinda dim. Maybe you can put softies and lps on the corners of your tank. As far as penetration, you're good to go. Put all your high light corals in the center of your tank. It's all about coral placement.
i went with the 6-bulb bc i wanted to be able to keep clams and sps later on...i bought the hanging kit off of reefgeek.com so i can adjust the lights up and down depending on the corals i keep.
tank is 48x18x20...standard 75 gal

color is not that much blue in person...i would say the color is more of a 14K

I have a 6 bulb over my 90g.....grew everything..sps...clams...anemones...at all levels of the tank
I have 4 bulb over 15 gal 3 ati blueplus and 1 d&d 6000k. I have no comparison using other bulbs combination, but so far I think my combination give a good result for me, the brown monti is coloring up after a month, some sps start encrusting after 1+ week.
but I've losing the bright green color on one of my frag, atl pink polyp monti, it became a teal green color.. but the growth is amazing, just the color.. on the other frag, my green digitata color is became more bright... hmm.. maybe I'll moving him up a little bit from the bottom to the middle of the tank and see if the color come back.

I have 6 bulbs over 46 bowfront tank since February. I use 3 aquablue and 3 blue+. No sump or chiller, just a hang on back refugium, and I am able to keep the temperature down with only 2 computer fans, one of them on most of the day, the other one comes on only when the lights come on.

Overall I like the light. Although the color on some corals are not as intensive as they were in the MH tanks, they are still beautiful an healthy. I am in the process of extending photoperiod right now, hopefully it'll help with the coloration. Currently the lights are on for 8 hours a day, including dawn & dusk effects, so all the bulbs are used no more than 5.5 hours a day.
