Who keeps SPS corals in their nano?

I do:

10g, no sump, no skimmer, just a very simple setup.

Victoria, just wondering if you drip kalk or use some type of Ca reactor--otherwise, how do you handle your Ca?--as I'm sure your tank demands a high amount of it.

Man that is the trifecta of the top SPS nanos out there right now. I hope I can move into it when I get back to the US!

Victoria: yeah I have the same question as paladin. I use the balling method (kind of) with the Randy Holmes Farley 2 part method.

ok dosing pump is next on my list haha. What brand are you using? or are you using one of those reconditioned paristaltic hospital IV units?

i've got 2 small acro frags in my 36 gallon, have been doing fine, i just do 5 gallon water changes once a week to replace trace elements. i cant tell if they are growing or not though.

I have a 29 gallon sps/ mix. The sps thrive. The lighting is a 175 14,000k watt metal halide. I feed them zooplankton once every night. And I add Randy Holmes Farley's two part additive daily. I keep mostly acropora (purple bonsai, tricolor, green slimer, blue milli etc....) They all do fine. I believe that lighting is not the most important thing with sps though. I think chemistry is #1, flow is #2, and lighting is #3. This is just what I have found to work.

That's what I like about this hobby. We all can do something different and get good results. You just have to try things until you find what works for you.
Victoria
