Who murdered my bubble Tip Anemone

Woke up this morning and noticed something stringy comeing out of him. He started shriveling up and then I noticed his mouth area looked as if it was ripped out. Who could have causd this tragedy. My wife is now in a state of deppression.
His neighbors are three blue damsels, a 5"snowflake eel, Coral banded shrimp and a camel shrimp. His host was a clarkii and now that the anemone is dead the clown fish is trying to eat it. Is this normal? Would one of the shrimps possibly have killed it? I also noticed that since I put the anemone in that the coral banded shrimp has been hanging out on that side of the tank, which he never used to.

Are you sure he's not just expelling waste? I know the first time you see it, it's terrifying.

Only your clarkii would dare to come close to your anemone. The rest would be scared to come close and get sting. I think your clarkii did the damage. It happened to my anemone too.

I agree with dc
BTA's tend to deflate and look REALLY bad but then inflate back up
This is normal for BTA's
If it were dead they "melt" and its pretty nasty.

I agree, it might be pooping, as the others said they look like they are dying(if you haven't' seen it before).

However, I would get the shrimp out, they can dig into the anemone's stomach and rip their food & stomach out. Many people advise to feed the shrimp before you feed the anemone, but with the shrimp I had this made no difference.

Good Luck.
Corey

Yous guys were right. Thanks. He's back to normal now. I'm no longer traumatised and can probably get some sleep tonight knowing my anemone is o.k. lol
