LED FULL SPECTRUM REEFER
I'm using the XM 20,000K bulbs 650 watts total. I like the results with the bulbs. Anybody else using the XM 20,000K Bulbs.
Or do you mix these bulbs with other spectrum bulbs.

I am currently running 2x175w XM 20k's and there around a year old. The color is decent but there way to dim in the 175w version and the PAR stinks.

I'm throwing on 175w XM 10k's in place of them.

At 650 watts it's pretty lit up, I'm going to use PC's to create the dawn/dusk and the XM's as the main day light.

I'm running the 2-20k's, one on each end and an AB 10k in the middle on a 210gal. AGA. Tank is softies and LPS. They seem to be going ok, but hoping to get a little more light to the bottom. VHO actinics will supplement the 10k's.

I had the XM 20000k 250s. I liked them ok. Good color and pretty bright. I went back to the 10000k because I was not getting any coral growth and my coraline died way back. I have had better luck with 10000k with PC in atinic.

For a 20,000K bulb, the XM isn't too bad on PAR(about 270), I run the 10,000K ones because they have 2X the par of the 20's(about 520). DON'T try the 15,000K XM's if your light is dim they have about 40% less than the 20,000K XM's(around 170). My numbers are probably off a little but they're close.

I also have a 12,000k bulb 400 watts, anybody use 12,000k?

^ This man knows what he is talking about.

Yeah, the light out of them kinda sucks. My growth isn't good. Going to 250w XM 10K when I upgrade tanks (supposed one of the best bulbs as far as PAR)

I stopped a bleaching episode by switching out my 13k geismanns for my old XM 20k's. I feel, they are the "you can't go wrong bulbs". I can't imagine bleaching corals with them, and they do color up the corals pretty good. That being said, I don't use them regularly, nor would I return to using them as my main lighting, since growth was'nt happening when I used them as my main bulbs a while back.

I used the 12,000k 400 watt bulb by itself, for 3 months and noticed rapid growth in the corals, and the corals colored up a little more.
Then I removed the 400 watt 12,000k bulb and replaced it with a 400 watt 20,000k XM bulb and added a 250 watt 20,000k XM bulb. It's plenty bright, the corals really colored up, but the growth has not been the same as when the 12,000k bulb was being used. So I put the 400 watt 12,000k bulb back in and kept the XM 250 watt going.
I'm looking for rapid growth as well as coloring up, so I'm hoping this combination will be the answer.
