whole house filter carbon filter

Has anyone ever ran their water through a whole house filter system like this and used a commercially available carbon filter that fits them?

I have a few of these laying around and was just curious if there is a difference between carbon filters, would something like this be reef safe?

I use them under the kitchen sink and my 2 refrigerators. Not sure you would need it for the whole house, only drinking water.

in the whole house filtration world those are a joke. They don't have the capacity or flow required for whole house.
